Tom McKenney has been appointed general manager of the Boston Marriott Newton Hotel. McKenney has served in leadership positions for Marriott for 20 years and was most recently general manager of the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area in Minnesota. Prior to that, he served as director of operations at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott in Virginia.

Deborah McCluskey has been appointed general manager of the new Ink48, a Kimpton Hotel (formerly the Vu Hotel) in Midtown Manhattan near the Javits Center. McCluskey previously served as general manager of the Empire Hotel, also in New York City.

David Rijos has been named general manager of The Shores Resort & Spa, located in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida. He has served as general manager at several hotels, including the Embassy Suites/ Dallas–Park Central Area and the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel Nashville.

The Doubletree/Anaheim–Orange County, located in Orange, California, has named Denise Pflum as its general manager. Pflum served most recently as general manager of the Doubletree Guest Suites Doheny Beach in Dana Point, California.

Succeeding Pflum as general manager of Doubletree Guest Suites Doheny Beach is Robert Michael Koscelnik. Koscelnik served previously  as the director of operations for the Hilton/Orange County–Costa Mesa in Southern California.

The Clift Hotel in San Francisco has made two new appointments: David Curell as general manager and Diane Wesley as director of marketing. Curell most recently served as general manager of the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, California, and Wesley was previously director of sales and marketing at San Francisco’s Hotel Vitale. 

The Omni Mount Washington Resort & Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, has named Larry Magor as managing director and Barry Sondern as resort general manager. Magor previously served as managing director of the Wyndham Bermuda Resort & Spa, which closed in 2006, and the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa in St. Thomas, the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sondern, who has been with Omni Hotels since 1992, was previously hotel manager of the Watermark Hotel & Spa in San Antonio.
 
The Resort at The Mountain, located at the western base of Oregon’s Mount Hood, has named Debra Scholl director of sales. Scholl was most recently director of sales at Hotel Jerome, a Rock Resorts property in Aspen, Colorado. Prior to that, she was regional sales director at La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California.

In Branson, Missouri, the Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center has appointed two new sales managers: Molly Lieberknecht and Brad Duncan. Lieberknecht has more than 25 years of hospitality experience and was most recently manager of global accounts for HelmsBriscoe. Prior to that, she was director of catering for Culinaire International, a food and beverage company. Duncan was previously a sales representative for Wyndham Vacation Ownership. Prior to that, he was the front office manager for the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas.
